RS200


The RS200 developed by Stuart Turner for group B rallying. The appearance was designed in house however an Italian designer did submit a design for the car. When unveiled the original-design was looked upon as ugly. Many people now look at the car as one of the best looking car ever developed.


The engine was developed from the RS1700T. The bodywork & chassis were built from Steel & Carbon fibre.


The RS200 windscreen was taken from the Sierra and Tickford were contracted to develop the trim and establish the road car version.


Mid mounted Cosworth, turbocharged engine.


Double wishbone, twin damper suspension.


Front remote mounted gearbox.


Viscous coupled 2/4 wheel drive, rear wheel drive or 4 wheel drive could be controlled by a second lever next to the gear stick, this feature was on all RS200's.
